The Union of National Radio and Television Organizations of Africa (URTNA) is an international organization of broadcasting services (Radio and TV). URTNA was created in 1962 to promote the development of broadcasting in Africa. URTNA MEMBERSHIP IS OPEN TO - any public or private broadcasting organization or group of broadcasting organizations of any African country ; - any public or private broadcasting organization or group of broadcasting organizations situated outside the African continent and which provide a broadcasting service of a national character ; - any public or private institution, be it African or foreign, national or international, whose activities include audio-visual communication.
